Juniors - College Preparation
In order to help students start (or continue) the college choice & college application process, Chaparral Star Academy provides instruction during the spring of a high school student's junior year. For 2022-23, instruction will take place during a student's English III/English III (AP) course. Students will also complete associated activities to help them along their path to college choice.
If a student has any individual questions/concerns or needs specific guidance, individual Zoom meetings can be scheduled by contacting Mr. Barnett directly.
Topics include information about how to think about choosing a college, how to research colleges & make a choice and how to apply to college. The schedule will be as follows:

Students will have assignment associated with this instruction and completing assignments is essential to gaining the knowledge necessary for choosing a college. We encourage parents to sit down and complete the homework with the student.
Please note that the associated assignment will count as a grade in the student's respective English III or English III (AP) course.
