In our ongoing effort to maintain Chaparral Star’s “Safe Place” status we will add something new in 2020. We are in negotiations with Travis County Sheriff’s Office to secure a school resource officer. This individual will spend a few hours on campus each week to establish rapport between our students and the “uniform”, assist with additions to our Emergency Response Plan, and serve as a reminder to all that we have a “presence” on campus. Please do not be alarmed if you see a patrol vehicle parked in front of the building.
